Michael A. Levine

Writer, Producer, and Composer

Michael A. Levine is a relative newcomer to screenwriting but a veteran of the industry. An 8-time ASCAP award recipient for his music ranging from the Jerry Bruckheimer/CBS drama Cold Case and Close to Home, to George Lucas-produced Star Wars Detours animated Star Wars parody, his theme song for the award-winning documentary, Landfill Harmonic, was Oscar-shortlisted, as was his song Running with legendary vocalist Roberta Flack for the future documentary 3100: Run and Become. His theme song for Resident Evil VII Biohazard became a viral hit as was his production of Lorde‘s version of Everybody Wants to Rule the World. Michael also composed the theme for Scrat, the sabertooth squirrel featured in the Ice Age shorts.  

Levine provided additional music and violin on a number of Hans Zimmer scores, including DunkirkThe Simpsons MovieBatman: The Dark KnightMegamind, and Rango. Michael’s choir arrangement of Spider Pig was conducted by Hans Zimmer at the Hollywood Bowl in 2015. Levine’s concert music includes Anthem, performed by piano virtuoso Lang Lang, and Double Crossings, an album of duets with percussionist great Dame Evelyn Glennie on mallets and Michael on electric violin.

Levine is currently writing the score for this fall’s Big Apple Circus show at Lincoln Center in NYC, and will be performing with Evelyn Glennie at Wembley Stadium in London to welcome home the paralympians from Tokyo.

Michael also wrote book, music, and lyrics for Orpheus Electronica, the world’s first EDM opera, directed by Philip William McKinley. Michael began his career in advertising where he composed the classic KitKat candy bar Gimme a Break jingle.

Levine is a former Governor of the Television Academy (Emmys) Music peer group.

Adam is a filmmaker and editor currently doing more than what normal working hours allow. He is a film school graduate from Columbia College – a top 25 film school, according to Hollywood Reporter – and with experience working at famed comedy institution The Second City, directing a feature film with a star studded cast, or co-producing Austin Film Festival’s 2019 Best Narrative Feature award-winner The Killing of Kenneth Chamberlain, Orton continually strives to learn, grow, and inspire.

Adam’s power to create profound and moving moments on screen lie in his ability to inspire and motivate his performers and crew to produce meaningful work.
